LINE/STYLISTIC EDITING

A line edit scrutinizes the flow and clarity of your prose. It looks at the construction of your sentences and how they come together to form paragraphs. In a line edit, an editor considers your choice in vocabulary, whether there are excess words and repetitious statements, as well as transitions from paragraph to paragraph and scene to scene. At this level, the editor is most interested in the art of your writing: what is the tone of the work? How is it paced? Is the meaning or argument lost in confusing organization?

At Amend Editing, a line edit generally includes some copyediting, but please note that the two are not the same. Pricing options are available to combine the two.
